There is an almost-cultlike following of movie-car collecting. If a collector has one, he or she, likely, has two or more and has hopes to bring home another one. Here’s that hopeful chance to add a film starlet to their collection — or for someone to get commenced.
Picture Car Warehouse is thinning its herd in an online-only sale on April twenty seven of more than three hundred classic autos, muscle cars, specialty and other vehicles no longer needed. This purveyor of vehicles for film, TV, movie and advertising has been in the biz for more than twenty years.
The assets include hot rods, customs, period cars and motorcycles that have appeared in movability pictures, commercials, and television shows. Spare parts will also be available.
“As Picture Car Warehouse makes room for fresh acquisitions, individuals, collectors and production companies can take advantage of this unique chance to purchase these exceptional vehiclesassociated with movies and other productions,” said Jeff Tanenbaum, President of Tiger Group’s Commercial & Industrial division. “It’s also a uncommon chance for the general public to purchase a car from their dearest movie or demonstrate.”
Picture Car Warehouse has provided vehicles for dozens of motility pictures and television shows, including “Rush Hour Three,” “Bucket List,” “Men in Black Trio,” “X-Men: Very first Class,” “The Town,” “Sons of Anarchy,” “Entourage” and “Taxi.” Vehicles used in commercials for Allstate and Chevrolet also will be in the lineup.
The auction offerings include Ford, Chevy and Dodge box, panel, and tow trucks from the 1940s. There is a1956 Desoto, a one thousand nine hundred sixty five Harley-Davidson Chopper and a one thousand nine hundred sixty six “427” Corvette. Muscle cars, hot rods and other vehicles up for bid include a one thousand nine hundred sixty seven Chevelle SS with a frame-off restoration, a one thousand nine hundred ninety ZR-1 Corvette with seventy five original miles, Camaros, Mustangs, and Firebirds. And there will be more Harley-Davidson, Suzuki and Kawasaki motorcycles.
Vehicles from the 1970s through the 2000s include Crown Vics, Impala SS clones, Rabbit convertibles, Gremlins, Chargers, and a Hummer H2. Pickup trucks, station wagons, trailers, and vans will also be available.
Specialty vehicles up for bid include a one thousand nine hundred sixty one Lincoln “Bud Light” limo, a one thousand nine hundred sixty three “Madmen” John Deere mower, Unimogs, camera cars, ambulances, armored cars, news vans, a two thousand two Gem Truckster, custom-made motorcycles, and more.
The auction will be staged by Tiger Group. Online bidding for the vehicles will commence April twenty at www.SoldTiger.com. Bidding will close in rapid succession, live auction style, on April twenty seven at Ten:30 a.m. (PT). All bidders are required to register online prior to the sale.
Previews of the assets will be held on April 26, from ten a.m. to four p.m. in two locations: eighteen thousand nine hundred fifty nine Parthenia Rd., Northridge, and thirty four thousand eight hundred fifty five Petersen Rd., in Agua Dulce.
