They have been substituted by a centrally mounted 15-inch horizontal touch screen that controls almost all of the car`s functions.

Two thumbwheels on the steering wheel and two column-mounted stalks are about the only tactile controls you`ll find. Interior Space on Par With Rivals

An Enhanced Autopilot Package is available, and it includes adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and the capability to automatically switch lanes, automatically transition from one freeway to another or exit the freeway, and self-park. The package is priced at $Five,000.

For an extra $Trio,000, you can upgrade to the «Total Self-Driving Capability» package that will permit the car to travel from place to place with no driver interaction. The autonomous driving feature is not yet activated and will not be until rigorous testing concludes and regulatory approvals occur.

Safety Ratings and Equipment

The sedan comes standard with an array of eight cameras, forward-looking radar, and twelve ultrasonic sensors. Presently, the various sensors enable automatic emergency braking as a standard feature, and a number of features are included in the Enhanced Autopilot Package.

Front passengers are protected by six airbags, while rear passengers get the protection of two rear curtain airbags. A rearview camera is included on all Model 3s.

Plain Pricing That Is Not That Elementary

The Competition
